Contractor Appointed for Cressy Street Revitalisation
Mayor Norm Brennan said Council has appointed regionally based Quarrell Civil Construction to revitalise the section of Cressy Street between Napier Street and Edwardes Street in a similar manner to the recent Napier Street revitalisation, upgrade Cressy Street between Hardinge Street and Napier Street and upgrade the Waring Gardens.
“Following a competitive tender process, Council has appointed Quarrell Civil Construction to undertake the works, with plans to start reconstruction following the Easter holiday period.”
“Regionally based, the company has completed a number of similar projects for other councils including the Shire of Campaspe and the Shepparton Hospital and we are confident they understand the importance of working alongside businesses and the community.”
In December 2018 Council adopted the Deniliquin Master Plan and one of the key objectives of the master plan was to provide a structural change to the physical appearance of Deniliquin with a focus on the CBD, riverfront, lagoons network and town entrances.
